"The WTHS´06 meeting forum is directed to Scientists, technicians and other professionals who are dedicated to Information and communication technologies study and research applied to the Social Well-being and Health area. Its fundamental scope is to promote the contact among scientists and professionals, improving the cooperation as well as the exchange of technologies among professionals."
At the WTHS'06 I presented, for the first time, the Tempo Project.Tempo has been designed collecting several years of experience regarding the "temporal abstractions techniques".

Tempo a general framework for temporal data processing and abstractions
Abstract
In this paper, we present Tempo, a framework for the definition, generation and execution of data processing procedures including filtering, qualitative and temporal abstractions. The overall architecture is build upon a specific data model and organized on pipelines of modules assembled according to a data processing meta-model. Each pipeline module conforms to well defined communication rules and wraps one or more data processing algorithms. The set of algorithms provided by default as reusable blocks can be extended with custom solutions through a plug-in mechanism. The data processing procedures can be delivered both as web-services and as software library. Although it has been initially tested in the medical field, Tempo is conceived as a general purpose framework. It has been integrated within a medical guidelines implementation software tool and in a general purpose web application prototype as embedded module for the extraction of temporal patterns from generic time series.
