The Pavia Amyloid Center is located at the University Hospital "San Matteo" and is operating since 1986. Approximately 2500 amyloid patients are evaluated every year at our Center. The Pavia Amyloid Center coordinates the Italian Amyloidosis study Group and cooperates with international referral centers.

Abstract
The Amiloidosi.it Project aims to create the Italian Network for Amyloidosis. The development plan comprehends the national portal with all information and contacts related to amyloidosis. The portal will provide features which will allow medical agents to update most of the provided information. It will also include a secure area where peripherals centres can communicate securely to the main centre in order to have medical support. The portal will integrate a shared health care record management system developed on a powerful semantic layer which will include ontologies, archetypes and templates as well as official terminologies.Such system will be accessible to all authorized users and organizations in Italy. The Italian repository for patient data will feed a continuous generation of customized data sets to foster statistical analysis. Finally, medical decision support features will be provided through the Guide Project technology.
